Family Pies

Family lore says that my great grandmother found this heavenly chocolate meringue pie recipe in a cookbook she purchased from a Boston book peddler that made his way all the way out in Oklahoma in the early 1900's. It's more than worth the time it takes to prepare the filling (and my aunt tells me that if you cook the filling in a single saucepan rather than a double broiler, it will go much faster)!
